I love weddings!
Believe it or not I have been very busy with photography and everything in-between. Back in July my husband and I decided very rapidly to sale our home. From that moment on my life was going a million miles per minute. The house sold quick. We were under contract in 4 days with a closing date set for 30 days from then. We moved in with my mom and quickly found a home to purchase. However, it was a home that needed some tender loving care. After several family sessions, engagements, weddings, bridals, football and a trip to Mexico (don't be jealous) we started work on our new home. Six weeks later we moved in...
Why am I telling you this? Because my life has finally calmed down and I can now start catching up on posting and sharing the many photography opportunities I had toward the end of 2016. I am so grateful to all of my clients. Especially for being so understanding and patient during this crazy time. I have set goals to never let this happen again...is that too vague? :)
On to the purpose of this post...the wedding.
This wedding is my sweet little cousin Valerie and her new hubby Zach. This took place at the beginning of November. Valerie is the sweetest. I'm so lucky to call her family and she sure found an even sweeter guy. Zach you could not be more perfect for my Balerie! (That's what I call her.)
I babysat Val since she was a baby. I am so very happy for her and for Zach. Mostly I am so grateful they trusted me to photograph this especially important time in their lives.
The ceremony and first reception took place in Las Vegas. I had a lot of fun letting people believe that someone booked me to travel to their wedding. Haha...of course it's only because it's family, but I am willing...just sayin!
These two had so much fun and the emotions of this day were so tender. I have so many precious memories of the day outside of these photo's.
Okay I'm done rambling. Congrats Zach & Val. I know you two will be so very happy together. The love you have for each other is so very apparent in these images as well as in person. Love you two!!
There are a ton of images so I'm only posting what I believe tells the story. To view the entire gallery there is a link at the bottom of this post.
I loved this sign...
A genuine first look. This actually was the first time that Zach saw his bride. Not an easy moment for this photographer. I'm kind-of a baby at weddings.
The wedding party.
Things got a little emotional above. Angie had an older sister moment. It got me a little emotional too. Love these two!!
And then the party started...
I loved watching Val dance with Grandpa. He's pretty spry for an elderly gentleman. (Love ya Gramps!)
I've gotta say...I've never seen men admire a quilt before. This was worth capturing and it was a pretty awesome gift.
And then it was the ladies turn.
As I said before the wedding took place in Las Vegas, which was middle ground for the two families. Zach and Val also had a reception in Utah. I can only post a few of the images from that event due to a limit on posting size on my blog. To see more click on the link at the end of this post.
